Head of People and Culture

About DrDoctor

DrDoctor is a digital health company transforming the way hospitals and patients communicate, by using pragmatic, common-sense technology to tackle the financial strain on the NHS – one hospital at a time. We bring patient correspondence into the 21st century, to automate processes, collect outcomes, measure value and drive down costs. Our platform improves appointment scheduling, increasing clinic efficiency by reducing no-shows and filling empty slots. Currently deployed across 22 major hospitals around the UK including Guy’s and St Thomas’ & Great Ormond Street, to date we have saved the NHS millions of pounds and 3000 years’ worth of missed appointments.

We’re looking for a Head of People and Culture to help us recruit, train and keep the best team while protecting our culture as we scale the company.

What would I be doing at DrDoctor?

Are you someone who enjoys people puzzles?  What makes people tick and how do you get the most out of a high performing team?

We’re recruiting hard and looking to grow the team.  To do that we’ll need to identify the best people that fit with our culture and will add the most value to the company.  You’ll need to set our recruiting strategy and manage the process to make sure we use a consistent approach to all roles.

You will be the one to help nurture the existing team and make sure everyone is able to work to the best of their abilities.  You’ll look at how teams are structured, what our reporting lines are, the internal and external training, and whether people have clear roles, goals and targets.  As we grow the team it will put strain on different areas and you’ll be the one to identify where the growing pains are and what we can do to help this.

This is a wide-ranging role and will bring you into contact with teams and people at all levels of the company.  You should be up to date on the fundamentals of employment law and comfortable engaging teams in both large and small group sessions.
