DrDoctor now partnered with Patients Know Best to streamline patient journeys and improve provider productivity

Topics: Product announcement

We’re very happy to be sharing this news! DrDoctor is now partnered with Patients Know Best, which is going to enable patients to enjoy a smoother, more personalised care journey. It’s also going to help empower patients to take a more active role in their care, and reduce the number of missed appointments, which is a £1 billion a year problem for the NHS.

Empowering patients to reduce DNAs

With communication issues being one of the key reasons why people miss appointments, this integration will help reduce DNAs and enhance patient experience by providing a much slicker approach to appointment bookings. DrDoctor are already reducing Did Not Attend’s (DNA) by 30%, and our partnership is only going to help this percentage to grow.

By integrating our platforms, patients can view upcoming appointments through Patients Know Best, and then seamlessly click through to their DrDoctor portal via NHS login. From there, they can see their appointment management options, and confirm, cancel, or reschedule their appointment.

Complementary partners

“For a long time now, we have recognised there are many complementary features and enhanced patient journeys in Patients Know Best and DrDoctor that can be supported through our platforms working together,” says Sally Rennison, Chief Commercial Officer at Patient’s Know Best.

“This is an exciting first to unite these features, providing an easier and richer pathway for patients, and better outcomes and savings for NHS providers. We look forward to deepening this integration over the coming months.”

Working together to improve productivity

Our own Head of Commercial, Ally Haddow, is just as happy.Having worked closely with PKB for some time, we know the joining together of our solutions will enhance patients care journeys and improve their experiences. This collaboration is the first part of a partnership that is going to empower patients, and bring real value to the NHS.”

This really is just the beginning! We couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Patient’s Know Best to help care providers to improve their productivity. Watch this space!
