DrDoctor Joins Access Group’s Partner Programme

Topics: DrDoctor in the news

DrDoctor, the UK’s leading patient engagement platform (PEP) supplier, has today announced a new integration partnership with Access Rio EPR, the largest EPR in the mental health and community space, part of The Access Group

The integration of DrDoctor’s patient engagement platform (PEP) with Rio EPR will transform community and mental health care administrative processes by optimising and streamlining workflows.

The partnership will see DrDoctor’s Patient Engagement Platform (PEP) integrate with the Access Rio EPR to optimise and streamline workflows through advanced automation.

The roll out of this project will be phased, beginning by enabling trusts to connect their Rio deployments to DrDoctor through demographic and appointment feeds.

The partnership will give trusts using Access Rio’s EPR access to DrDoctor’s PEP, enabling service users to view and manage their upcoming appointments as part of DrDoctor’s rescheduling tools and enable service users to use the DrDoctor portal to manage their appointments more efficiently, being able to request to reschedule or cancel their appointments from within the portal, without needing to call booking teams. Which when combined with SMS reminders and notifications, reduces DNA rates by up to 30%.

With ambitious plans to continue enhancing this partnership through advanced slot-based scheduling automation and assessment-writeback, the integration will support trusts in increasing efficiencies and accuracies to improve the patient experience and outcomes.

Steve Wightman, HSC Commercial Director at The Access Group said: “More than 60 NHS Trusts currently use our Access healthcare software solutions and we’re always looking for partnerships that will enable us to build better healthcare solutions, for better healthcare outcomes. This is why we’re thrilled to welcome DrDoctor to our Partner Programme. DrDoctor shares our vision of delivering seamless care in the mental and community health space, and in our commitment to serving the NHS and ultimately, patient care - so we’re looking forward to working together”.

Founder and CEO of DrDoctor, Tom Whicher added: “I’m delighted to announce that we’re now working with the team at Access Rio EPR.  Together, we’re committed to delivering seamless hybrid healthcare in the mental health and community space to empower patients and service users along their care journey - and to strengthen our support of the NHS”.
